Mrs. Leslie, a dedicated professional with five years of service in the local school district, holds an AA in child development. A lifelong creative spirit, she is not only a piano player but also a certified Music Funtime instructor, specializing in teaching music to toddlers and young children. Mrs. Leslie's passion for the arts extends to her expertise in Arts and Crafts, where she fosters creativity and self-expression among students. Her multifaceted talents contribute to a vibrant and engaging learning environment, making her a beloved figure in the educational community.

From beginning piano at the age of 6, Ms. Nikki realized the self-expression, power, and joy to be found within music and all creative arts. Through participating in bands, orchestras, choirs, and theater from elementary school, she has come especially to love sharing the delight music and creativity has to offer. She has worked particularly with children in the Pre-K age range and younger, believing that art is a foundation for children's self-confidence, independence, expression, communication, and fostering community. She has training in Montessori teaching philosophy, believes in each child's capabilities and motivations, and approaches teaching with the goal of expanding not only a child's understanding of music but also of their developing selves and the world around them! She is currently pursuing a PhD in English Literature at Claremont Graduate University and in her spare time loves enjoying nature with her two dogs.
